In the past, I’ve shared how useful my iPhone has been in medical situations and dealing with doctors,  nurses, and hospitals in general.  Recently, I had my own medical issue with what I thought were hives morphing into dermatitis eczema.  You may have a skin issue, but by the time you get an appointment to see the dermatologist, the issue has faded away.

I used my iPhone to take pictures of the various stages of problems I experienced – the date/timestamp is very useful.  I created a folder in the Pictures directory “Medical”, and put all of the pictures in there.

I went to the dermatologist last week, and showed the nurse all of my pictures.  She was properly impressed.  Through the photos, the doctor could determine it’s not your typical hives which are there & gone in a few hours.  How do you appropriately get across to your doctor that your arm looked and felt like it was on fire? Only a picture will do…
