We traveled to Italy in 2014 landing in Rome–the Leonardo Da Vinci airport is a work of art itself.  One of the things that struck us immediately in Rome was the graffiti.  Some of it was tagging, but much of it was street art.  (My husband and I disagreed on that.)  As you saw more of it, it seemed more normal. This is the first artistic one I saw as we rode into Rome.

IMG_0342.JPGGraffiti has a long history in Rome. Graffiti in the Vatican.  In 2015, we took a tour of Spain & Portugal. The graffiti/street art seemed even more prevalent there. Here are a few from Madrid, Lisbon, and Coimbra. The featured image is a collage of the various pictures I took there.

To me, these graffiti artists made colorful cities even more colorful & vibrant.
